Soar High Philippines
Soar
High Philippines
by:
Ruel De Gracia
Philippine
economic development has been very fast lately. According to National
Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) that the domestic economy
accelerated in the second quarter of 2012 to 5.9 percent from 3.6
percent recorded the previous year boosting the first semester growth
to 6.1 percent from 4.2 percent. This positive result is brought by
pliant services sector as the main driver of growth supported by the
sustained growth of manufacturing and the rebound of construction.
The
economy of the country today is performing well. This is an
indication that there is a greater chance that the Philippines can
imprint on the global growth for the years to come.
Recently,
an economic oriented journal, Market Watch has concluded that
Philippines once again become the New Tigers together with Indonesia.
This only shows that the present administration is considering much
about the stability of our economy. The business here in our country
is doing well which contribute to the positive assessments to the
economic performance. Last Friday, the Philippines Stock Exchange
Index market is also doing well. The peso value sets 30% high.
It
is estimated that the continued inflow of remittances from our
overseas workers pushed the growth of Net Primary Income from the
rest of the world (NPI) to 4.5 percent from a decline of 1.1 percent
in 2011 thrusting the Gross National Income (GNI) to accelerate to
5.6 percent from 2.4 percent.
The
government's plan for coming years to come is to reduce public debt
to 49.4% of GDP (2011 est.), unemployment rate to 6.8- 7.2%, poverty
incidence to 16.6% which is a strong sign that we can say that our
economy will eventually surpass the economic problem.
Philippines
economic development is also result of agricultural products, which
includes corn, sugarcane, pineapples, coconuts, bananas, rice,
cassavas, mangoes and pork, eggs, beef and fish. Major industries
that contribute to economic development of Philippines are wood
products, electronics assembly, food processing, footwear, garments,
pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petroleum refining and fishing.
One of the
highlights of the present economy is the banking sector. BDO Unibank
Inc. the biggest bank in the country by total deposits and assets
under management as of the end of 2011, according to its annual
report. A full-service universal bank, BDO is a subsidiary of SM
Investments Corp., a conglomerate owned by Chinese-Filipino tycoon
Henry Sy. The bank’s profit rose 15% in the first half of 2012 from
the same period a year ago. Other major Philippine banks include
Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. and Bank of the Philippine Islands,
or BPI. There was also a “steady rise” in investment as indicated
by dipping savings and increasing bank lending. In a report released
by Moody said that the resiliency of the services sector is also a
factor for the Philippines’ stellar economic performance, which has
been mirrored in most countries comprising the Association of South
East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The
present administration has vowed to focus on improving tax collection
efficiency, rather than imposing new taxes, as a part of its good
governance platform. The economy still faces several long-term
challenges, including reliance on energy imports and foreign demand
for overseas Filipino workers.
Truly Filipinos
is happy enough despite of the problems that we faced. The Department
of Tourism, spearheaded by Secretary Ramon "Mon" Jimenez,
has just launched today the new campaign line to boost the tourism
industry in the country. As a great start for 2012, the campaign aims
to get tens of millions of tourists by 2016. Developed by BBDO
Guerrero, the slogan tag as It’s
More Fun In The Philippines.
The DOT hopes to increase the number of tourist arrivals in the
country yearly to reach 10 million by 2016. The Philippine government
need to boost the annual international arrivals to 10 million by
2016, from 3 million today. The local tourism industry targets 4.6
million tourists by the end of the year. The government said that if
the quota for 2012 would be reached, this would mean an additional
1.5 million tourists, higher than the previous record.
Poverty
and employment are among the problem that the government should give
much attention. There are more people that are hungry. And with the
current problem with international economics, more people are losing
their jobs. Steadily rising inflation has contributed to the erosion
of the value of the minimum wage. In line with problem the government
implmented three rate cuts this year, putting the benchmarks 75 basis
points lower to record-lows of 3.75 percent and 5.75 percent for
overnight borrowing and lending, respectively to focus on the poverty
line incidence giving the poor sustainable jobs to at least lift them
from the unfavorable conditions in living.
The
September 25, 2012 report by S&P’s eighth positive credit
rating action under the Aquino Administration. S&P upgraded
Philippine creditworthiness on July 4, 2012, assigning it a “BB+”
rating with stable outlook, or a notch below investment grade, and
affirming Fitch Ratings’ credit upgrade in June, 2012. Moody’s
Investor Service upgraded the country’s rating to “positive”
from “stable” in May, 2012. S&P, Moody’s, and Fitch Group
are the Big Three credit rating agencies.
Adding
to the bull case for the Philippines is a favorable slate of country
rankings. Data from the Heritage Foundation indicate that when
metrics such as economic freedom, freedom from corruption, land
freedom and related metrics are combined, the Philippines scores
better than other Southeast Asian economies region a report said.
The
overall economic condition at present is practically stable and it’s
an indication that the government together with the people are
helping each other to come with a greater and better outcome for the
good of our economy and most all to our country.

Here With You
"Here With You"
Asher Monroe
To all my friends
The night is young
The music's loud
They playing our song
Nowhere else that I belong
Than here with you...
Than here with you
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Ain't felt this good since I remember
This night got started when
You entered
I hope we can get a little closer
Maybe even get to know your name
I wanna hear the music so loud
Get some drinks inside me
Right now
So baby let it go
You had me at hello
Let's raise our glass and toast
DJ play that once more
To all my friends
The night is young
The music's loud
They playing our song
Nowhere else that I belong
Than here with you...
Than here with you
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Gonna see the sun
Before we know it
If you got some money
Time to blow it
Girl, way you got me feeling
So sick
Dancing the night
Away with you, with you, with you yeah
Nobody here is sober
Last call don't mean it's over yeah
So baby let it go
You had me at hello
Let's raise our glass and toast
To all my friends
The night is young
The music's loud
They playing our song
Nowhere else that I belong
Than here with you...
(Than here with you)
Than here with you
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Than here with you
Than here with you
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
I wanna hear the music so loud yeah
(I wanna hear the music so loud, yeah)
To all my friends
The night is young
The music's loud
They playing our song
Nowhere else that I belong
Than here with you...

Friendship and Love
Friendship and Love
The most fantastic of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident.
Personally, love for me, is an air which help me breathe every time.
I pretend that I don’t know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you. Loves is miraculous, and when you find it, don’t ever let it go.
According to a blog, love would be when you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person; and without them, your life feels empty and incomplete.
It's when you trust the other with your life; and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone, you want nothing more than for them to be really happy no matter what it takes because their happiness means everything to you and their needs come before your own. It's when they are the last thing that you think about before you go to sleep and when they are the first thing you think of when you wake up.
Love is giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting them not to. When they are with you, your heart is filled with joy. When they touch you, you get butterflies in your stomach. It's when you can't get that goofy smile off your face; and you feel like you've been touched by an angel. You feel pity for everybody else because you are thinking to yourself that they can't possibly be feeling what you're feeling.
I believed in Peter 4:8-9 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling”.
If you love someone it would mean giving up something. As I wrote my poem, this matter sparkles in my mine. This would mean losing your friendship. The relationship you have venture in many years and you build it sweat.
“A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright light of your friendship”
Friends are priceless and therefore are their reminiscences. Therefore certify merely that you just simply produce every event a singular one and realize pleasure from your friendship continuously time.
Gifts for friend is also one thing however; it's incomplete whereas not your cordial emotion and significance with it, whether or not or not you will purchase gift on-line or by mail or provides it yourself, invariably bear in mind the spirit of friendship for endless relationship to cherish throughout your life.
Friendship is a blessing, and a friend is the channel through whom great emotional, spiritual, and sometimes even physical blessings flow. Friends can cheer us when we’re sorrowful or depressed. Friends can challenge us when we allow ourselves to get beyond our reasonable boundaries. Friends can motivate us when we’re ready to give in, and they can provide for us when life falls apart. They are there when all is well, and we want someone with whom to share life’s pleasant and memorable moments. We often just want them around to have a good time, to laugh, to act silly; to enjoy some mutually liked activity. In how many ways have friends enriched our lives and made us feel loved, accepted, respected and cared for? Probably, too many to list, and the list grows daily.
Friends give me strength and inspiration to push through as my family do. Everyday they boost my self to battle the challenges and trials of my life.
Then and again, my first time to feel love to someone but it is special and extraordinary. I can’t tell it to that person because it’s an unusual love which may caused in my part and to the people around me.
At this time, I feel confused and very sad my situation and I need your help. I want your advice in order for me to handle this crisis of mine. Just leave a message to this post.
Akala ko lang Pala
Akala ko lang Pala
Sa unang araw ay kaysaya
Magaang loob ay nadama
Mga kaibigan ay nakilala
Araw ko'y puno ng ligaya
Maraming oras ang lumipas
Mga kulitang dumadalas
Kaibigan ka bang tunay?
dahil ikaw ay parte na nang buhay.
Meron mang-iba'y nang-aalipusta at nang-aapi
nadamang kakaiba lalong lumalala

I’m inlove with You
I’m inlove with You
You’re the one who makes me weak
Every time you’re near, I feel sick
I’m just bothering you, to ask your time
Coz I feel something like the song rhyme
How I wish, you can understand
My feelings to you which I can’t stand
You give meaning to my life
You inspires me in the middle of my problems
You care for me at the first sight
Which I can reminisce in the night
I weigh it and found-out
That my heart is pumping in and out
Maybe it’s wrong to love you
The friendship could be stake, too,
but my heart is seeking for you
what action should I do.
I’m afraid to tell it to you
The love that I felt because of you
I think you beat me
I longing for you day by day.
When is the right time?
Maybe my love is wrong
Where in fact it’s unhealthy
You and I can never be.
Sooner, you will be far away
My love is pure and with sincerity
I hope you can accept me before you disappear
My love will stuck and my life would in despair.
Just to say thank you!
Encourage me to push through
Real friend that makes me love
Someone who cares and value
Only goodness you shown for me
Never criticize and question the reality.
Gentle, unfeigned and dolce man to love
Quietly unflinching in the veins
Enigmatic love which revamp my life.

The Black Sheep
Friendship Ville, a place for friendship , together they will enjoy life in many wonderful ways. Friendship is one way we live life at best. Friendship is a feeling of love and affection of one person for another. This feeling of love must be reciprocated. Otherwise friendship cannot be possible. Friendship does not exist where tastes, feelings and sentiments are not similar.
If friendship exist, enemy is there ready to destroy the relation towards each other. This enemy, I refer to ,is the mere Black Sheep wherein trying to get into and end i'm sure ,he will bring chaos. I hate this guylike person, sometimes as a sheep he will act animalistic. He is trying hard to impress everyone. What a nice guy, he thinks he is capable of everything.
One scenario,he thinks he is very good, he tries to observed us and then he will make way to destroy ours. You see, you can probably conclude of how this person actlike and looklike.
Sometimes, this person is trying hard, I think you can grasped what this kind of person do.
Dont Expect on me to scuză vouă.
details will be posted here soon.

SONA2012
The SONA
President Aquino on Monday trumpeted the accomplishments of his government in the past 2 years, saying that nothing is impossible once the Filipino people realize that they are the boss. The Philippines has achieved change, and the Filipinos themselves have made it happen.
President Benigno Aquino faced a joint session of Congress Monday to deliver his third State of the Nation Address (SONA). He did not claim credit for the improvements in national life in the past year. All credit he gave to the Filipinos. He thanked them for the achievements.
He said that in the 25 months that he has been President, he learned that “nothing is impossible because if the Filipino people see that they are the only Bosses of their government, they will carry, they will guide you, they themselves will lead you to meaningful change.”
Among the accomplishments he mentioned in the SONA are: a record 6.4% GDP growth in the first quarter of 2012, record performances of the stock market, rising tourist arrivals and record high increase in coco water exports.
He also answered critics who said that his “daang matuwid” and good governance drive would not benefit the poor.
He described fiscal management under the previous administration as like “the wild West” where “one hand would shake your hand while the other would ask for a bribe.”
He said that under his administration, leaks in the system due to corruption have been plugged and tax collections have risen,.
“We can easily fulfill all these goals, if the sin tax bill—which rationalizes taxes on alcohol and tobacco products—can be passed. This bill makes vice more expensive while at the same time raising more money for health,” Mr. Aquino said. Through this, more infrastructures will build.
“We will not build our road network based on kickbacks or favoritism. We will build them according to a clear system. Now that resources for these projects are no longer allocated haphazardly, our plans will no longer end up unfulfilled. They will become tangible roads that benefit the Filipino people,” he said.
The situation on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was opened up. He said we already know how to craft clear plans to avoid catastrophe. Project NOAH was boasted. 600 automated rain gauges and 422 water level sensors installed in 80 primary river basins around the country are the targets for 2013.
128,558 hectares of forest have been planted across the country. 335,078 individuals now earn their livelihood from these activities.
The face of government has truly changed, PNoy said. Our compensation levels are at par with the private sector's at the entry level. Performance-Based Incentives will be given to government employees. Bonuses are based on their agency’s abilities to meet their annual targets. It may reach up to P35,000.
Confidence in the economy is growing. Investments are pouring in, jobs are being created, and a virtuous cycle has begun. Consumers buy more products, and businesses hire more people so they can expand to keep up with the growing demand.
Improved tax collection has increased revenues. Every peso collected is properly spent on roads, on vaccines, on classrooms and chairs.
Roads are properly paved; products, services, and people reach their destination quickly and with greater ease.
Food production has increased, prices don't fluctuate, wages are stable, and our economy is stronger.
PNoy said a resilient and dynamic economy resting on the foundations of good governance is the best defense against global uncertainty.
Territorial dispute with China was mentioned. He said it is not right to give away that which is rightfully ours.
"Let go of the past. Unite. Forgive and forget so we can move forward as a people" as what people say is unacceptable to PNoy. He criticized the ten years that were taken from us. He mentioned the 57 victims of the Maguindanao massacre.
Forgiveness is possible; forgetting is not, PNoy said. If offenders go unpunished, society's future suffering is guaranteed.
Mr. Aquino said his reforms have come through “prudent spending, with every peso collected properly spent on roads, on vaccines, on classrooms and chairs—spent on our future.”

Puss in Boots
Puss in Boots
This movie is very much interesting and pack with moral lessons.
It is a cheerfully chaotic jumble of fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters parachuted into a Spanish storybook setting. It also looks terrific: brighter, with a lot more visual pizzazz. Even when the story loses its thread, the movie rewards your eye.
The tale, revolving around Puss, a popular character first introduced in“Shrek 2,” imagines this vain, spoiled, swashbuckler (voiced by Antonio Banderas) with delusions of grandeur, colliding with Humpty Dumpty, the Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs, Jack and Jill, and Mother Goose herself. Puss is given a tentative romantic interest in the feisty and seductive Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), who first appears in disguise and eventually becomes his sidekick and partner in crime. Kitty’s tragedy is that she has been declawed, but the movie makes little of it. Despite some perky quasi-flamenco dance numbers, their teamwork never quite soars into Astaire-Rogers heaven.
Visually, at least, most of the other transplants from children’s stories are indelible. The avaricious Jack and Jill, voiced by Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris, are villainous twangy-voiced old folks who roar around the plains in a covered wagon making trouble. Mother Goose, silent except for her fog-horn honk, is an ominous Godzilla-size bird who swoops down from on high to protect her golden child whom the outlaw partners have stolen from above.
Puss has his charms, but he is not as memorable a character as Shrek or Shrek’s mouthy sidekick, Donkey. Consequently the story, which involves a quest for magic beans and golden eggs, feels improvised and diffuse. The most sharply drawn character, Humpty Dumpty (voiced by Zach Galifianakis), Puss’s erstwhile best friend turned enemy, is also the most complex. Jealous and treacherous, but with a seed of good, he is an animated Rorschach test whose remarkably expressive features register more shades of ambiguity than I can recall encountering in a Hollywood animated character. There are many, many egg jokes.
Puss and Humpty Dumpty first meet at an orphanage, where they hatch a dream of acquiring magic beans to grow a beanstalk that they intend to climb into the clouds to steal the Goose That Lays Golden Eggs. But the two are separated before they can realize their plan, and Puss becomes an outlaw. When they meet again, Humpty Dumpty is fuming that Puss betrayed him, but they reteam anyway for an adventure that involves some spectacular midair derring-do.
“Puss in Boots” was directed by Chris Miller from a screenplay by Tom Wheeler, who wrote the story with Brian Lynch and Will Davies. Early in the film you have the sense that this picaresque adventure tale had only the sketchiest of master plans. It is too complex and has too many changes of heart to be a smooth, coherent ride. Puss isn’t as clear-cut a personality as he was in the “Shrek” movies. The moral of the story — something about revenge and forgiveness — simply has little resonance.
Visually, however, there is much to admire. The movie’s most remarkable feature is a spectacular use of 3-D that raises the bar for a mainstream animated film. Avoiding the usual stereoscopic clichés, “Puss in Boots” often looks multidimensional, especially its action sequences.
And unlike the “Shrek” movies “Puss in Boots” doesn’t give you the slightly queasy feeling of being stranded at a Friars Club roast where the talk is peppered with inside show business jokes. The tone of the screenplay is more innocent, and the movie is apparently directed at a slightly younger audience. That’s all to the good.
“Puss in Boots” is rated PG (Parental guidance suggested). Some adventure action and mild rude humor.
